Reputation: 10When did the game actually get fun? I remember in the beta that aliens 'randomly' spawned around and fought with the humans, aliens die, repeat every few minutes. At first it was like 'WOAH, THIS IS AWESOME.' then when they respawn a few minutes later and the game expects you to kill them again it's like 'Didn't I just kill you? :|'. The game was so dull even just leaving the first town lol

So do I, so do I...
We should not say things we know nothing about...
evrybody blames RG ,but we all know the koreans hated the guy ,because he didnt like to rush things ,or give a cheap *** product like they do...
if u think about it ,their was no reason why they couldn't bring the game F2P since the game had already alot of f2p itemmall ish kind of pots etc...
They just wanted to screw him over ,thats why the got rid of the game as quick as possible ,i man they had the expansion pack ready to release and they didn't even give it a chance before quiting ...that brings up some questions
and sometimes i think the game was just to much ahead of its time.... goddamit i miss it...
you also have to take into account that RG also tried to sue them.
he succeededdamn koreans ,no offense but ,if they can't live up to western standards then they shouldn't publish them
Can't they turn it to something like Guild Wars? (Buy to play)
Unless I'm missing something.
Richard Garriet probably took the rights to TR with him into his trip to space, so NC shoft probably can't do anything about it.
PS. Yes, RG was the prime factor in TR's demise. If it wsan't for him, the game could have kept evolving. The koreans had nothing to do with it, as it was being hosted/published in NA.
I liked being a guardian, I had a minigun and a skill that let me "charge" to places. So if a base was overrun by aliens, I could just "charge" through a wall to a turret (lol glitch abuse) and take it back single handedly![]()
wasn't the game also developed by NCsoft america?

The developers of Tabula rasa, which is based in Austin texas and founded by RG.
Reputation: 10That's not the only reason why it failed, it was instanced, no kind of persisten world. It never achieved popularity nor success that alot of other MMORPG do. Lack of content etc
