My brother is almost 30 and he has never stopped playing games. He even said he'll play it in his grave.

Maturity has nothing to do with losing interest in games. He's simply bored of them, and this is the most ******ed post I have read in my life thus far...

@OP: You probably aren't playing any good games. Try some P2P MMORPG's are find some variety by doing let's play's or something. Things like that seem to spark interest in playing games again. You could also try some indie games.

I agree with the indie games thing. those usually have something creative going on.

    mmos on the other hand...

besides, I'm pretty sure Saint pretty much quit mmos after critically overdosing on WoW for a while. :]

Huh, didn't know that. :V I guess it's better considering he overdosed.

Indie games are good stuff, look up some indie games on Google. I remember watching AOTS and there was this little website with reviews for indie games... shit, I forgot what it was.

    lol you ******.

saint if you are getting bored with games its because the games suck or stink or both.

if you are playing any mmo's then quit those since (for me personally) they end up making you hate gaming as its more of a chore to play rather than a relaxing pastime.

i tried playing dead space for pc but hated it so now its just collecting dust. have you tried the new AvP game? theres a demo for 360 and pc, looks pretty good but i dunno ive only played the old one.

anways, change your mindset... dont think like "gotta work through this or that game" and if you dont feel like gaming.... then dont. if you sit down and switch on a game just because you cant be bothered to look for something else to do then your gonna have a bad time okay?

normally when im fedup with current games or just looking at the CoD shortcut makes me want to nerd-rage i often fire up an old classic. like mess around on doombuilder for a bit or open that one civ2 save that ive never deleted and the year is 4000AD or something stupid.

but yeah dont look at gaming like its work or like you gotta do this or that.

This happened to me about 2 years ago. I just got bored of games. I sold all my systems and games and used it to fund things I'm actually passionate about.

Now I never play games. Except every once in awhile, when I'm at a friends, I'll play Rock Band or something. But other than that, I haven't really played video games in the past 2 years.

I haven't entirely given up on gaming yet but I have given up on this gen games.

I play Ps2, PsX and SNES games. I do sometimes play DS games but only strategy games or remakes. MMO wise I can't play a MMO for more then a few hours or so without feeling bored. Just not enough time or attention to play bad games anymore so I basically replay old favorites.

    She knows how to party.

I can't really bring myself to play games anymore.

If I'm at home on the computer I'd rather just listen to music and browse the internet.

Get more gaming buddies. It's sort of how that guy got a male best friend on "I Love You, Man", but done over the internet. Or get some IRL friends who like sleepovers and back to back games (lol).

Or just accept it and watch TV or something. O.o

@ all the people that took my first reply seriously:

    Y'all got trolled.

No, but seriously, I get the same feeling as OP and sometimes I wonder if that's the reason. I think I'm just burnt out though.

I used to play a lot of Xbox 360, but my brother has pretty much taken it over and I can't even stand to be on it anymore. The second I log on I get about 15 party requests from all of his obnoxious freshman friends that I despise. He broke the headset and has it duct taped together and I refuse to wear that thing on my head. Last night his friends and him broke my favorite gaming chair. I'm basically stuck with the PC as the Xbox is a hostile environment.
    I have 4 80s and I still think "I can't wait to hit 80" on every toon I'm leveling.

Not saying I don't like 80, I do, it's just that once you are finished with boring level grinding, you start boring gear grinding. But it is quite fun when you finish the gear grind and start accessing raid content, or just PvPing. Struggling to level my rogue to do a 2v2 lulzerogue team. He is at 63, driving me nuts trying to level him through outlands cause gotta eat every 2 mobs... worse than a warrior.
