They all say it's because of hosting right issues (too much for the license or only for that region) etc.

I should update this but all my effort went into writing this lousy excuse.

Licensing and the fact that we have less mmo players compared to other parts of the world.

    Lack of attention...

Seriously, there already is Eu Mabinogi, Wonderking is going EU(With English language), and just wait for Nexon to make DFO EU too.
They always make popular games EU, First Maplestory, then Combat Arms, now Mabinogi, and later DFO.

Would YOU want to play a DFO version that's 5 years behind the original?

We may have more people but the amount that actually play mmo's is small, way smaller than NA and Asia.

I feel for the Europeans! But there just are not that many MMO developers in EU compared to other countries.

    She knows how to party.

I feel it's worth mentioning that there's no studies or surveys I can find that back up the "Europe has less players".

Although, they're Free MMOs, you're really not missing anything worth complaining about.

It's bullshit, but, in a lot of cases it's not worth mentioning.

You are wrong, I see more people playing at European servers (most of MMOs that I have played, not counting maplestory alike crap) at GMT 1 pm than on US (NA) servers at GMT 2 am.

    Also, this varies on Games.

Remember, people in NA prefer consoles instead of PC.

It is when they use it right.

Take a scientific poll for example...if the options were Ps3 (30%), Xbox 360(30%) and PC(40%) then you would say "So and so PREFERS PC over Ps3 or Xbox360"...

    That would be fact.

    @Tryfing

    Seriously?
Do you really believe that's what he meant?

The thing is, despite Europe being often regarded as a single entity it is far from being so and therefore its market is spread and far less reliable as a whole than the NA one, by far
It is also harder to please with communities of several countries requiring/demanding dedicated servers etc...

In other words, sucks to be us
At least on the PC MMORPGs gaming perspective.

I believe he's referring to the ridiculous censorship and banned games when it comes to Australian gaming, the whole "we don't like this violence" crap the AUS gov't has been pulling lately and pissing off developers.

The "censorship" of games rated R18+ in Australia isn't new(doesn't make ok either)

The only thing that our government has been pulling is the proposed isp level internet filter.

The sad thing is our Government is pretty much committing suicide.

We have alot of idiots here that actually believe its a GREAT thing.

However the "censor" as far as free mmos and releases go..is irreverent in this discussion so the vagueness is open for interpretation and thats not exactly a good thing.

If you guys are going to make such statements try adding a bit more detail t it

Everyone speaks atleast the minimum amount of english.[/QUOTE]

It's not a d-bag response at all. 230 different languages are spoken in Europe. (Source) and only 38% of the people in Europe feel as if they can speak a conversation in English. (Source) Not to mention that out of those 38%, how many do you think actually play online games?

Would you want a game localized for your country where you can enjoy it with people that actually speak your language or would you want one for all of Europe that only 15% of the people speak your language and the other 85% don't understand what you or the game says?
