Free RTS Battleforge incase you havn't played already

Yeah just click my sig to go to the site, it's a great game and i haven't seen any threads here so i thought id make this one.
And if you noticed my sig, Nooo im not an advertiser and Nooo it's not a referal (Although you can if you wish, my ingame name is Sythalron)

The game is free to play and join, but to get new cards you can purchase BFP (Battlforge points) from EA to buy new "packs" of cards which contain 8 random cards, or use the auction.

IF for whatever reason you can't pay or don't wish to, the community is VERY noob friendly and most are willing to sell you BFP for gold or even give free spares (quite common) (Gold is a reward for PVE gamemodes etc which anyone can get)

Now if you think it's a simple card game don't worry, what you do is select 20 cards from your pile or inventory w/e you want to call it, and those 20 cards are what you use ingame to summon creatures buildings etc. It's really good, because you can tailor your own "army" if you will and try new tactics etc, instead of like most RTS's the factions are stuck with what they have.

Also there is PVP, campaign and loads of coop maps (and a random map generator for coop games). Also there are 4 factions, shadow,frost, fire and nature. I myself prefer mixing 2 factions, so i have nature/ice and a shadow/ice deck

Plays nice too, its fun to play. BUT (theres always a but) if you want more youll have to pay. Youll just get starter decks/cards/monsters and you wont be able to get new cards unless you pay real $/€ for boosters(containing # of cards).

That's not entirely true. It would be faster to pay with real money, but you can actually trade in-game gold with other players to get cards.

Would be fun, the higher level pve missions go up to 12 players...epic battles ensure. Forgotten the pop cap per player, but I do know some units are made up of like 6-12 smaller units. So even if you could only have 10 per player, thats like 72-144 units not including enemies. =D

I tended to be a base builder/defensive type player rather than massive armies though. Build up towers and various support buildings and use more spells than I did actual units.

How's the economy? I don't wanna spend real money on the game since I'm already paying for other stuff. Am I gonna have to fight like 100 battles and make a million gold to buy the weakest monster, or is it at least a reasonable cost for things?

if u like PVE it´s one of the best free rts games out there, but pvp is pay to win.

but u are not forced to pay for new cards, i ve traded my farmed gold for some BF Points to buy new cards.
