depends what you mean by "upbeat" I suppose ;], still you can't deny that technical death metal is pretty ****ing loud
personally i like music you can sing to rather than loud music when running, takes your mind off the running more.
such as, i love DMB, so i can sing most the songs and your focused on singing and not forgetting the lyrics instead of just blowing out your ear drums lol. Listen to music you love.
rather than Lil Wayne or UnderOath which are pretty loud and upbeat.
