    Default Need some explanation o_o"

So I OCed my GPU from 670MHz to 800MHz and it roughly dropped 6-7°C IDLE.

Even better is AoC, which can rack up my GPU temps rather nice to about 54°C on DX9 high.
After OC it went down to 43-44°C.

GPU fan speed is and always have been 100% and pretty much no changes to any cooling systems in my rig were done after the OC.

I'm pretty much mind****ed here, but can someone explain me this please? :/

Temps are monitored by EVGA Precision, HWMonitor and to be sure I looked with the nVidia system tools as well.
Those 3 all said thesame result.

Hmmmm, so you notice no noise changes from any fans at all?
Have you monitored how the frequencies work out with for example rivatuner?

    Are the voltages stable?

Do you have an electronic thermometer?

The most likely result I would come up with, is that your card has a progressive fan speed controller curve, that is triggered earlier, when you OC.
Other than that, I would assume that your OC didn't work correctly.
At last I would assume you were using the wrong tools and your temps are actually BS, should none of the other options be wrong.

Sounds like an unorthodox issue though, those numbers are very implausible.
You are double checking everything now anyways, but be careful to not ruin your card and try to confirm the temps manually, instead of trusting the sensors.

The fans are pretty much maintain thesame level of noise. Now and than a sort of speed up, which I think, that comes from the CPU fan, but that happened before the OC as well without it happening much more.

The voltages seem stable during the past 24hours. Min value acording to HWMonitor is 11.82v and highest is 11.99v idling at 11.93v.

I don't really get what you mean with frequencies though.

Well, my card clocks differently automatically in
    2D mode
    2D exclusive mode
    3D exclusive mode

Did you OC with a tool that came with the card, or by using some hacks?
Just in case you should check if the OC is even effective.

I used EVGA Precision to OC it.

As for the different clocks, I'm only able to change 2D mode and 3D high performance mode, unable to change 3D low-power. Both OCd.

I downloaded GPU-Z to be sure and yet again, it's confirmed. OC detected along with the lower temps. :/

I guess I'll need to take this weird case to an OC forum. >_<

Do you have a sensor for your fan speed rpm?

(Just checked into EVGA precision; it's just a dumbed down version of rivatuner, by the same guy)

Using rivatuner's for the fan speed RPM.

I guess I should throw this on the nVidia/XFX forums and see what I get there. >_<

I can't make out any noise difference. The airflow temperature seems to be rather cold when putting my hand on the outlets.

What's the min/max Evga precision lets you set?)
Minimum is 505 clock, 1136 shader, 940 memory.
Max is 1075 clock, 2419 shader, 2000 memory.

This is the first place I attended too. It didn't look real urgent or problematic and I'm sure the guys over at OC forums got worse things than look for a 'perhaps' normal case of OCing. :/

The system may show "100% fan speed" but it isn't, well, atleast for me it wasn't, because a fan never runs at fullspeed permanently. The hardware detected your overclocking and raised the fanspeed automatically.
It displays the RPM as well.
Pretty much runs at 3100RPM the whole time.

Edit: I have the XFX GTX285 so the 'bug' might have somewhat hit me as well.
