Very nice game. However, not graphicaly appeasing. As a mmo-vet, though, I will say: The game play is extremly deep and massive-- and gameplay is very free and up to players.
The game does have a VERY sharp learning curve (like all truely good games), you pretty much need to read a good bit of the wiki but learning is fun because it helps you build up a good base.
Again, graphics are ugly. But game play is very good and highly addictive.
The community is very good-- Composed of a small but SUPER loyal player base (b/c they didn't quit during the learning curve and were able to realize how great this game is.)
About the game? Well..it's just too much to describe. But in short I'll say..think of farmville but 1000's of times deeper and more involved. Mix in a little harvest moon ..but with the ability to raid others bases and defend your own (with fencing ..higher lvl fence = harder to chop, takes higher lvl tees..) There really is simply too much to this game to explain.. I've been playing off and on since 2002...and it is consitently the only game I ever return to (about 5 times now..) If I had to say my fav. mmo of all time it would be this...even though the graphics are probably the worst I ever played. Funny thing-- I bought a awesome gaming rig..but all the typical mmos that come out look pretty but just don't have enuff depth and player freedom. This is a sandbox style type of game. Give it a good shot-- Play, read the wiki..be involved in the forums, learn, go on the chat and ask the vets questions...give it a REALLY good shot (it's going to be super easy to quit and give up early on)...and I bet you'll be glad you did.
