Reputation: 13Personally hate that book and believe it very poorly written. To be honest, most books based on dungeons and dragons or the like don't have much potential.

Also - I really liked The Old Man And The Sea. I dunno why...its just a story about an epic fishing adventure...but fishing is boring to do and to watch...so I dunno why the story made it so great.
All the books in The Belgariad series. Not much of a book person here but they kept me interested.
The necronomicon and At the mountains of madness byt H.P. Lovecraft.

The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald or Neuromancer by William Gibson.
Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card.
Reputation: 24I've recently been on a reading binge involving all of Jim Butcher's novels. My favorite is his Dresden Files series, but the Codex Alera is also very interesting.
Another of my favorites would be the Sword of Truth series, by Terry Goodkind, but I've said that countless times before. >.>
I also have a book that's been sitting in my room forever that I want to start reading, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. It's called Son of Avonar, book 1 in the Bridge of D'Arnath series, anybody read it?
