Better to get something for all the time invested; I have so many accounts that have either expired or are just sitting around wasting space. The one account I did sell though was my Dofus account years ago; made like $2200 off that; sold all the items I had individually then the account. Just too bad I blew it on more MMORPGs.

I've done that i sold one for 450$, but paypal said that the guy who used that account was using a stolen one, so they tried to get the money back...I can never use paypal...I still got the 450 though so i'm good.

Average time it takes to get 80 - 6-8 days. Average time it takes to get full t9 gear , 1-2 days. If you worked for $8.50 an hour, and guesstimate it will take exactly 10 days to get a character ripe for selling, you would have made $2040 (not including tax reduction). Now, subtract the $40 for WoW pack, $40 for Wrath, and $15 for the monthly fee. If you sold a character for $400, you truly only made $305 in the same hours put in it would take to earn $2040 from an actual job.
Now, I understand the "money in my pocket for something I don't care about anymore" thing, but considering doing that for actual money is just lol.

Sold a Level 70 Druid "Conquer" account just last month to a mate for $400AUS, not my most profitable sale attached to MMORPGs but pretty good, best sale was a mount in Lineage 2 which when for $1000US (far as I'm aware it was highest or 2nd highest level mount on US servers)

Selling accounts is always a good way to make money. I sold my KAL online account for 850 USD back in the days when the game was popular and i had one of the highest lvl chars out there.
And 850 isn't even much, i heard of people spending thousands and thousands for WoW accounts.
