Default Second Life - Try it

Why play it? It's a sandbox. If you have the skills to build you can make anything. With how open the 'game' is I'm surprise more people don't try it.

I already have my review of it here so I'm not going to repeat myself: http://www.onrpg.com/MMO/Second-Life...Live-Only-Once

I'm also willing to answer any questions about the game.

while alot of people are on there for sex, not everyone is, they seperated adult content from mature and PG content, so if you stay away from the adult zone( which isn't always sex) you should be ok.

I think there are still camps and surverys too.

    Also

I have never spent a penny on this game.

    Resident since:
    7/13/2006 (3 years 7 months old)

    I'm still enjoying myself.

Whoever said it before, it's the same with me.

The game's just a tad bit "too much" for me to grasp right away, and it makes me not wanna play it.

They need a MORE in depth tutorial for people to learn how to just be able to play around.

By in depth, you mean they need to teach people how to do what they want? How to use photoshop? How to use blender/maya/3dsmax? How to use poser? Teach people programming skills? That will take several years to complete, and if anyone should pass this so-called "tutorial" he/she deserves a cert.

Seems interesting. I've got a couple of questions, though:

Do you have to pay in-game currency if you want to make your own stuff? Like a tax, for example.
Is it hard to create things, like weapons, clothes, etc? I assume you need an external program to make the skins.
Can your character be of any height? If not, what are the limits?

I'd appreciate it if someone could answer these questions.
    Thanks in advance.

There's not a single thing in that list that is required to play the game. Those are only required if you choose to use them to create items. They're not everyday use.

Edit: Also, my IGN is Jace Dresler. I haven't touched him in a long time, but he was primarily used as a roleplay toon.

If you want to import your own pictures/textures. Its 10L each.

    Depends on your ability.

There is a set limit, I don't know them by heart. But if you can add on to your character. I've seen a giraffe character.
