Default Silkroad, are you kidding me?

Silkroad was one of the few games i enjoyed to play on a daily basis without getting bored.
It was just the game for me.
I stopped playing it a year ago, when botting was a major issue.

Now every now and then i visit their site just to check whats new, some time ago i read about their new ''Anti-Bot'' policy, but i didn't feel like joining again.

A few minutes ago i downloaded it, to try it again, and all the servers are full.
    Seriously, what the hell?

Why is it so hard for the devs to actually get a decent protection?

its been happening for like a year now.. they do a huge bot ban like once a week and every one flips out saying its fixed and 3 days later its full of bots.. not only that but if you buy anything from the cash shop JM wont ban you.

Yeah they should ban botters that use the cash shop so they'll have to pay again, and again if they try to bot once more :3

At that big major Bot-ban they tryed to ban all the goldbots.
i think there was no ip ban or something like that.
im sometimes playing on the servers and yes they was right away crowded 1week after that big ban.

The server inspection is every monday or tuesday EU time i think.

I understand what you are trying to say.
But from the years i played, i noticed Joymax is as greedy as any other company, so that won't be happening.

I've got a feeling that they would still prefer botting.

Yeah. This is the best way for them to sell that golden ticket thing. That's the only way to log in with all the bots everywhere.

At one time I used to play this more than WoW and Guild Wars. Now I just think about how crazy it was to do a quests that required killing 1000 monsters. On multiple characters. Mindless grind that took like 4 hours a day if you wanted to get anything done. I don't know why but this was one of the only grind games that I stuck with.

The real fun of that game was the epic trade battles. Not only do you have NPC thieves but you got players as well. They would swoop in and try to kill your camel or horse and then take your supplies and teleport back to their hideout. Being on either side of that conflict is fun.

I think there is a new expansion on the way. I would like to play it but I know it would just get frustrated with relaunching the game over and over trying to log in. Even if the title screen music is soothing. SRO is a good game ruined by botters.

    http://www.rev6.com/servercapacity/

The capacity is perfectly fine. Only about 50-70% load on every server.
