Reputation: 1151Very shocked. He must have a criminal history for a year in prison. I mean, most musical artist as well as actors pay their get out of jail free card. With all the money they make, they toss it to the top lawyers and whoever else has power in a court house to get his sentence reduced to probation or even community service.
I am actually shocked. Also I am happy in a way. I hate how just because people have money makes it ok to break the laws and get away with it.
Example: OJ Simpson. He clearly was the murderer of his ex-wife. Anyways his *** got caught by karma and is now ****ed cause of that armed robbery he did a year or so ago..

I should update this but all my effort went into writing this lousy excuse.
This is most definitely not good.
You thought his sh*t was bad now, just wait.
10 quid says that his next album is going to be about how he ran the prison, didn't give the booty, and other lies.
The man makes abominable music and is one of the problems with mainstream hip hop quality.
That doesn't mean I'm glad to see someone imprisoned without hearing why they are. So, he got imprisoned for gun possession? Illegal gun possession? Owning one suggests you're prepared to shoot someone, so yeah, he deserves to be put away.
He'll be out in no time, make no mistake. It's a nothing story.
If the police really cared about busting these people - most of whom openly smoke and possess pot at a lot of times - then they would be doing it all the time. It's not worth their time, because if regular citizens can get off for possession, millionaires can.
Gun possession seems to be the one they get time for, but it's rarely significant.

The second had to be rearranged after a fire broke out in the New York court complex."
Actually the Illegal possession of firearms is a very serious crime in most parts of the country. Lil' Wayne was convicted for possession of the fourth degree which is a Class A Misdemeanor, that's a mandatory sentence of one year in prison no matter who you are. If he had actively carried the weapon on his person the sentence could have been much worse. And seriously, who cares if celebrities get off on a technicality every now and then? The REAL threat is when criminals, the actual threats to the common man, and not ignorant and nonsensical public icons, are allowed to run free because they don't WANT to be caught. The real threats are those small percentage of actual criminals that get caught in an ineffectual justice system, and make it out by lawful means, and end up with a far too lenient sentence or even escape punishment all together. (some would call this a technicality but it is still the law regardless. All laws are technicalities.) When the American public at large thinks that crimes such as possession and use of drugs or possession of Illegal firearms by celebrities are serious crimes...it's a sad day for intelligent state. Illegal Firearms dealers, major drug traffickers, human traffickers, endangered species traffickers; these are the types of criminals that get caught so often by the hard work and dedication of devoted law enforcers, only to see their work go up in smoke when the justice system drags its heels, letting the offenders wander free into the populace in the meantime, only to either escape punishment or receive a 'slap on the wrist' compared to their crimes. Is it just me or is this seriously F***ed up? Jail was invented for the purpose of seperating DANGEROUS menaces from mainstream society, and cases like this send a message that the justice system is weak and makes would be criminals think they can get away with anything, and honestly I can't say i'd disagree with that opinion.
Then I'd have said: "Tough dookie, son. Get to court. Nobody made you get a $40,000 set of teeth.".

So much hate on lil'wayne, I like his music, and I do agree he will have something on his album talking about being in jail, or isolation, or w/e.
OMG! Then they must free him in no time before he can start writing those songs regarding his time in jail and make more moneh and fame out of it.>![]()
