    Default What the hell?

    So i was on ''W7 Ultimate'', but went back to XP this morning since i found XP being easier, especially because i only game and do stuff for school on my notebook.
    So on my (D) were my games, and on (C) the Windows files, i choose the install XP on (C) and format any other Windows Installations, when it was done i wen't to (D) and all my games we're gone and there we're ''Windows'' ''Users'' and ''Program Files'' folders, so i assume Windows7 Made an unwanted back-up for me and put all the files on (D), and the problem now is, I cannot get rid of them, when i try to delete it says ''Cant Delete ''Windows'' Blablabla''.
    The files aren't running though, and there are no processes binded to the files in either Windows, users or Program files :/.

    Can anyone help?

    The way you said it, indicates you had Win XP, then put Win7, then went BACK to win XP.

    Thats all.

    Windows 7 -> Windows XP.
    How is this any related to deleting Windows files that are not even being used, and still can't be deleted?

    This option is gone once you format your OS, so if his laptop originally ran XP, the moment he installed w7 it's gone.
    It also would be gone if he reformatted using a regular windows CD and not the restore option.

    Also hatashi, run linux for 2 minutes and whipe the files that way? :o

    http://www.sysresccd.org/Main_Page

    Download and burn to cd or usb and format D:\ with that.
    If you might get problems, everything should be on their site as well.
