Reputation: 482Been waiting on this for a while. gonna ask for it as a b day gift though.
Reputation: 131Got it when it arrived at Gamestop yesterday, and it's already kicked XIII off my "games to play more" list. The game is amazing, and DEMANDS that you master the combat system right away. If you don't, expect to be torn to pieces at the first boss.
lmaoooo that sucks i am picking up both Metro 2033 AND Resonance of Fate in a few minutes
Reputation: 133I want to shoot someone...
Reputation: 131Places like Blockbuster and Wal-Mart didn't get it due to incredibly low demand. Wal-Mart is generally terrible for finding games anyways. My local Gamestop had only three or four pre-orders for the game, mine included.
Tip: Always use Gamestop's website to see if stores near you have what you want. That's how I tracked down my copy of Blood Will Tell.
My only advice is to try Amazon or some other website.
Also, Metro 2033 is incredibly short. Beat it in a single day. :/
Reputation: 192Perhaps after I'm done with XIII, still debating between this and WKC.
Reputation: 131It is and it isn't. The storyline takes sometime to get going, around chapter five or so. Until then the game plays out almost episodic, each chapter being about three hours if you do the side quests and explore a bit.
The game's main draw is in it's amazing battle system. It's probably the best system I've seen since Valkyrie Profile 2. The system isn't hard to understand, but you aren't going to master it in the first couple hours. And spamming your hero moves will DESTROY you.
[EDIT]: Oh, found out about why Blockbuster doesn't carry the game. Slated date is April 6th at the moment, but it's currently listed as available through mail order.
Is there an end to this game, as in if you beat the last boss or do the last mission you can't play any further? Because I'm really into the type of games in which you can play further even after you beat it.
Reputation: 131If it's anything like the Valkyrie Profile games, there's a stupidly difficult bonus dungeon after completing the game, along with harder difficulties and random extras.
I'd say check around on the GameFAQs board to be certain, since I haven't read anything on the actual endgame yet. I like surprises.
