I was wondering if WoW was worth buying? The BattleChest around here is 20 euro and 60 day cards are 25 euro, which isn't too bad.
Also do you need a credit card to make an account?

98% sure you dont need a credit card, just choose to subscribe using a gamecard but then again i haven't made a account since 2004
Reputation: 20You don't need a credit card because you can buy 2 month pre-paid cards.
Altough I dislike WoW I know alot of people that love playing it.
its worth every penny ^.^ LoTR doesn't have the charm wow has :P
Reputation: 35wow is the best actual game... you can easily find team to instance right now with the team searcher, has many instances with big fun mobs it does not require big comp expect and has alot focused in pvp... pretty fun game too bad is so expensive (12€ month + you need to buy each expansion ...)

Go try Eve Online! They even give you a free trial!
Reputation: 20I'm gonna buy the Battle chest but it feel so awkward buying an mmorpg![]()
Reputation: 10Buy it and try it out. There's a reason why a lot of people hate/love the game so much, you should figure out which category you fit in. Don't ask a bunch of douchebags on a Free MMORPG forum to tell you what's good.
You don't have to buy it. Create a trial account. You can add the game key after you're level 20 or when you're account is 10 days old.
That's when the trials stops.
Reputation: 20Does any members here play WoW EU? I don't know what realm to choose and if someone from here plays I could play on there realm or they could recommend me one.
Reputation: 10Played wow for about 3 years and it's a great game. I would still play it if i have the income. Unfortunately I'm saving up for something big so I have to sacrifice some things.
My advice is to play what class you like and stick with it,(If you're unsure try making a pally/druid since they can tank, dps or heal very well if you're geared for it.) IMO leveling is boring unless you like questing but once you get to max level that's when the real game starts. I would probably resubscribe if I ever save up for the thing I'm trying to buy. Hope you have a great experience in the game.
It's not a bad game, anyone claiming that is stating their personal grudge against the game, if it were a bad game it wouldnt have over 11 million players.
I would say give it a try, start with the trial and see how you like it, thats always the best way of finding out if its worth it for YOU to spend the money on. I would suggest trying to get some of your friends and start it together, thats always more fun.
