How do you download threads?

Let say you found a thread that is very interesting and that you want to download it for later reading.

Well when I visited other forums, they have the option to do this either by saving it to a browser format on which you can read offline on your browser or by Word formal.

Anyone have a program in which you can download forum threads to your computer?
