Thread: "EA" Wants us to pay for demos & tests!

    They will probably do it like they did with Spore, £5 for the demo and you get £5 off if you decide to buy it.

    It's not making money off the people who would buy the game straight away but those that just want to try it out for a extended period of time so even if they don't buy the full game a small amount of money has been made and the customer doesn't loose out on £40 that they may of spent, as I bet we have all spent a ton of money only to be terribly disapointed.

    They had already stated, iirc, that the retail price would stay the retail price. The "demo" would be a monster all of its own. Kind of like renting a preview of a movie me thinks.

    You guys do know this is more of a DLC right? Apparently EA is trying a new thing, they release part of the game for $15 and see if it's successful. If it's not, they'll pull the plug on the game. If it is, they'll continue the full game.

    Oh really? Well I can't comment much until it actually has come out. But it is after all optional.

    But I do like where EA is going with DLC, giving maps free to first hand buyers of battlefield and extra characters for Bioware games.
