New music

Whenever I buy/get new music (Yeah, I pay for music. lolwut?) for some reason I usually listen to the new songs for weeks on end, almost exclusively. I've probably listened to the Gorillaz Demon Days' album three times over this week.

Is anyone else like this?

Its usually weeks on end over one single song.

I do. Usually the first week its all I listen to. A lot of music I listen to needs time to grow on me, and I don't like to write it off right away if I dislike it.

Then, if after a week I'm enjoying it, I listen to it a lot until I find something else new. Not exclusively, but more than average.

Force of habit. When dad was around, he'd always buy CD's and listen to them to the point where I knew every single song by heart.

I do this with single songs. I listen to one song so much to the point where I'm sick of it, mostly with hip-hop.

i usually listen to a song or album repetitively till it gets old then never listen to it for a good 3 months then put in in my list of albums i play
