Dead Space

So I just beat this game, and I don't think I have ever had more fun in a single-player game. I have a couple opinion questions for those who have beat the game.

1. Do you think Hammond was in on the betrayal?
2. Do you think Isaac survived that crazy ***** on his shuttle?

Also, what weapon did any of you use? I used the plasma cutter until about half way through. Then I tried out all of the guns. Not a single one was as good. The only other gun I liked was the Force Gun, but it sucked at dismembering.

The Force Gun was cool, but I really didn't enjoy this game.

It's a rental, at best.

No, yes, and some other guns were good.

I loved the line gun; it was basically a humongous, stronger plasma cutter. The pulse rifle was very nice too, and if you got good with it then the ripper could easily be the best gun in the game.
The contact beam was really only useful for bossed, and the force gun and flamethrower just plain sucked.

Dead space was an awesome game the best expierence so far on the 360 for me. I think they are ruining the sequel

They were all in on the betrayal, excluding Hammond and Isaac and there making a second one where Isaac is still the main character so yea, he survived. But he's a bit wacko now.

I didn't like the line gun because the space between shots was too wide, hard to hit smaller things. The Ripper was fun but there were too many times when I was so close the blade was actually on the other side of the enemy, spinning around in nothing. The contact beam was okay, and the pulse rifle was nice, but unless you upgrade the damage it sucks.

Edit: I am going to start going back through it and upgrading the rest of the guns. All of my equipment plus the cutter are already maxed out. Got the military suit, too.
