Problem: Sometimes when clicking a link, it'll bring up a search engine called 'askjony' and say it couldn't find 'insert website name here .com'
Other times I'll click a link and it goes to something REALLY weird, that looks like an expired domain name, also implying I searched for something that had nothing to do with what I clicked. (I think I clicked a site for mmorpg reviews that I go to often without trouble, but it said 'sorry could not find adult dvds' >.< )
I think this started after I STUPIDLY downloaded something for item mall points. (You know, one of those 'fill out these spam offers and we'll give you points' kinda things.) However, since then I've ran multiple spyware searches (I use Spybot Search and Destroy) and anti-virus searches (I use Trend Micro Internet Security Pro) but it still happens.
It's very odd...one step I'm going to try that I'm unsure WHY I haven't done is uninstalling that toolbar I got it with, but that's not even on the browser I'm using. (I use firefox, the toolbar is on my internet explorer, which I keep for sites that firefox doesn't work on)
My specs:
Windows Vista Home Basic
AT&T DSL connection (which sucks by the way)
Firefox version 3.6.2
If any other info is needed, please ask, and sorry for the huge wall of text.
