I got my Itouch stolen last Friday. Now it is Wednesday, and this chubby mexican comes to my weights class with a "New Itouch". I ask him to see it, and he shows it to me. It has all the same scratches on the back I had, and the same headphones, that have a volume changer and pause/play thing on it. The only way you get those if you buy an Iphone or get 32Gig Itouch. Not only that, but it was jailbroken(Which mines was), and I know he is too stupid to do that, and have allt he RPG's I had. I know he doesn't play those games, because he is just an idiot. I told one of my friends(Who so happens to be HUGE[BUff wise]) and he tells me to confront him about it. I do, and he swears on his life it is his. I told him that those were my dads headphones(I had lost my other ones so when I got my Ipod stolen I had my dads headphones wrapped around them) He says fine take the headphones, but I am like wait wdf no give me my ipod too, and then I realize I should play it cool, and say just kidding. I ask my friend again, and he says I should probably fight him. I ask him if he can have my back if things go out of hand, and he tells me to follow him. He goes to the locker room and takes the Ipod. He starts pushing the guy and the chubby mexican threatens me, and my friend is just asking him for the passcode he put on, and then my friend gives me the Ipod. I think of what I should do, but then realize if he does tell, I have no real proof to prove it is mine(Just that I no this guy is a [racial slurs are not tolerated] drug dealer, and I cannot check my ipod box for serial code due to the fact that it is was at my house, plus I am already on a behavior contract so if I **** things up I am expelled) I gave the ipod back to him and told my friend to walk away. What should I do? Should I just put my education on the line and just kick his *** and take it? or shoudl I try to steal it, like asking to see him and taking it, or should I just let it go?

Keep items that are precious to you in a place where no pilfering is possible.

Now kicking his *** would have been a good idea if this was a street matter...but you actually have something to lose here(assuming this happened in school).

Life happens,people steal shit.I had my gameboy advanced stolen(lol) multiple times so i don't bring precious items out of the house anymore.I know they'll be safer there than with me anywhere in public.

My friend stole some kids IPod on the bus... I thought that kid was a ***** for not trying to get it back.
If you're on some behavour thingie. Then tell a teacher that your Ipod is missing, and this guy some how happens to have an ipod with all these certain details.
If you tell the teachers everything on your ipod, and they check and confirm it. Obviously they'll tell him to hand it back over to you.
Shoot... if you're scared to fight - do it that way.
Plus that guy can't tell on you for taking your ipod back. In reality your friend is the one that took it, and you can get away if he happens to get in trouble for it.
Then you'll have a good laugh with him.. and a nice little memory.


Either way don't be a pushover- there is always a way. If you can't use brawn, use brain.

Go to the school, tell them all the identifying marks that show it was yours. Also tell them how your locker got broken into and your backpack was searched. The school administrators will probably question him and you can have some justice.

Plan B is to steal it back and then deny it repeatedly. If he's gonna steal someone's shit, then I bet he's not going to rat you out if you steal it back. Then you'll put HIM in a position where he has no hard evidence.

In the future

Always put something at the root of your stuff that only you can identify. Bury it within the device and hide the folder; Chances are someone might go and erase your music but I doubt most people bother checking to see if there's anything else on it.

Pretty sure someone would find it hard explaining why they had pics of your family or something personal to you on "their" stuff.

Also keep your receipts; never hurts to have a paper trail of your purchases. learn the serial number as well.

isnt a broken lock proof enough? and then all the details, you said that there are RPG's on that itouch right? well talk to your coach, explain it all, and tell him specific things like, what the RPG's are about,what lvl you are, etc and then let your coach ask that mexican guy what they are about, chances are he doesnt know shit about them, and you can prove its yours that way

YES! Kick that ****er's ***!!! Believe me, its one thing to have your valuables stolen, its another to have your intelligence so blatantly insulted! TRUST me, there are schools EVERYWHERE, but you will NEVER have such a clear chance of proving your worth (lest you join the army or whatever) again!!!

Plus, I would've gone ape-shit on the guy already by now, I would never have given it back to him, in fact I would have called the cops wayyy before he ever thought of it. I'm just too poor to **** around with things like that. If my laptop were ever stolen, or my ipod (should I ever get one) I would fight tooth and ****ing nail for it, cuz I wouldn't be able to get one for another few years. (no****ingjoke)

Nope. He had Insurance on his first Itouch, but it broke, so they gave him a refurbished one with no box. Also, the guy could have deleted the files I had on the RPG's, AND for he never had any photos on his Itouch to begin with. So, telling a coach would be useless

Your iTouch will have a serial number on the back that can't just be deleted. If you have anything that pertains to it; the box, the serial written somewhere, an Apple ID, you have enough evidence.

Wow.. can I person not ask people for help now a days on onrpg? jesus christ... by the way, I tried finding the serial code, but Best Buy never gave me the serial code for the refurbished ipod, if you read throughout the thread you would know this. Also, look at the post above me, that is a troll, and a failed one in that matter. Also, whadya expect me to get expelled for 200 dollars? Also, if I get expelled the school takes my right to an education, meaning if I try to go to another High School, they can deny me.
