Mabi Heroes is instanced based. I imagine there will be channels for the main town, but dungeon instances are I believe 4 people.

Reputation: 22The NA release for the game is called Vindictus.
Source: http://www.************.com/node/82258/page/2The game features loads of character customization options and armor, which wouldn’t bear stating nowadays except that the characters look so good. Right now, DevCat and Nexon have no plans to have player vs. player in the game; Vindictus is all PvE. Session length will range from fifteen minutes to an hour, and crafting weapons and equipment from components taken as loot is a major part of the game.
So, it looks like there won't be any PvP.
Edit: t e n t o n h a m m e r without spaces to replace to lolcensor.
Reputation: 18how good are the instances in mabi heroes? tanks needed for them yeah
Reputation: 22It's all class based, so I'm sure there will be the typical archetypes.

Reputation: 292There is PvP is just has not been implemented.
I like instanced games more.....I have a life so I don't have time to be doing a 5 hour quest of killing 3000 of some enemy.
I would rather jump into a quick mission and finish a quest like killing the boss by throwing a pillar at it.
Also the quality of instanced games are usually higher.
And the combat system in Heroes is new and refreshing which requires more precision than just pushing hotkeys for skill spamming.
when does beta come out for NA versions, of this and C9?
Please, tell me it's P2P based so I can lol.

Reputation: 10agree with your opinion but want the number to be atleast like guildwars 8 players on battle ground pve... gw is 8 right? 4 is just too tiny.
instance base feels like im playing a quality console game like demon souls, circle of doom, zelda, castlevania. game like lineage 2 just drop people down form the sky and let them wander off and do brainless quest, mob grind. no quality feel. wait 2 hour to form people to raid. sometime hard time finding party to level up.
yeah instance is better if they let choose one. but i want the instance to be bigger number than 4 per instance. atleast 8 per instance and atleast 200 per town ground.
4 per instance will feel like sacred 2, diablo ect.. not a mmo.
Completely disagree. Instancing or amount of people means NOTHING.
If your analogy that more people = better, then Lineage with it's thousand player raids would be the best game of all time.
But it's not. MAG is not better than other shooters because it has 256 players. Quality comes first.
Mabinogi Heroes has a fast paced combat system that would cause great lag with a larger amount of players.
If you want Medievel action with 64 player castle sieges, I would recommend MB: Warband: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PzAVi1WOHMc Game has poor graphics, but is really awesome, difficult(hard) and skill based.
Reputation: 198o yea...forgot about that~ the instances will have fluctuating ping/lag depending on who you are partying with. This is because the dungeon system uses the double-edged sword called Peer-to-Peer system (aka P2P). In this system, the overall latency of the dungeon is determined by the overall ping of each player in the party. Sure, host will most likely have the biggest impact, but the other players contribute quite alot to deciding at what latency the dungeon will be at. So if a player in Korea parties up with someone playing from say...Brazil or something (*cough*proxies*cough*), both players will experience lag. Upside to this system is that it is cheap to maintain and cost-effective~ (hence why Nexon not only uses this for Mabi: Heroes, but also Elsword Online - I think...)
