Dear Aika players,

We have an important announcement to bring you tonight. Starting tomorrow night after our weekly scheduled maintenance, we will be restricting our area of service for Aika Online to North America, given Gala-Net’s status as the North American publisher for Aika Online. This decision may result in gPotato blocking IP addresses which originate outside of North America (for Aika only – other gPotato games will not be affected).

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this action causes, and we encourage you to email us at aika_support[at]gala-net.com with any comments or concerns you may have.

I spent 10bucks on the game, I am cool. Just pissed that the notice was given ONE DAY before it commences.

I am staying away from Gpotato games from now on.

Well, look at it from their standpoint:

They are forced to lose all their non-NA customers because the devs sold the global game rights to another company. By compensating the players, they're effectively going to put money into people that will never play their version of the game again. And honestly, the NA players probably don't care all that much.

It just looks like they're trying to get it over with and minimize the damage. No sense in dragging it out and leaving questions unanswered so everyone can make a huge stink about it.

The developers are hosting the Global server themselves =/

The NA players will start to care once they notice a potential 1000 Vs 1000 PvP-centric game is reduced to 50 Vs 50.

And yes, I agree with no sense in dragging it out. So announcing it one day before its implemented justifies the prior sentence?

Despite how polished and PvP-oriented this game was, it seemed to me that everyone would pretty much be the same, strategy wise. The main thing that gives you an advantage is cash shop / better gear. Each class had same type of gear, same skills, etc. There were obvious ways to use skills, so unless you are an idiot or/and suck, the way you cast skills will be similar to most others.
In other words, its mass PvP and whoever has the better gear is the better player.
Correct me if I am wrong and explain why.

First Allods with a stupid feature like the death effect , now Aika . Seriously , what are the Gpotato team thinking about? , why didn't they inform to the whole community from an early release stage that there would be an Ip restriction ? . At first , I thought this was an old april's fool joke , but now I believe anything coming from that terrible company .

On the other hand ,this surely is the worst decision Gpotato has taken , since 50% of people from their gaming community ( even more , not sure ) are foreigns who usually look for a global gaming service . Shame on Gpotapo , and I wish the best luck to the rest of aika players , since I'm pretty sure this game won't last long 'cause half of the game's population is gone . Lastly , I'm glad I quitted this game ,mainly because grinding was terrible and character's equipments and clothes look alike , so if the game had a high population with Non-americans being that bad , I just wouldn't imagine how empty Aika will be after this wise ' Lpotato decision '

Anyways , What can we expect from a s****y company like Lamepotato?.

I sent an email to Gpotato, but I will really like to know the real reason for the 1 day announcement fiasco. And inadequate warning to players with regards to spending on Cash Shop for overseas players. Rich or not, I have seen people spending tons to get all their gears to +11 via the Cash Shop items.

While I understand the IP block thingy, at least release a proper announcement with the steps and measures being considered to make sure players stay loyal to the Gpotato brand. All these vague announcements with little or no info other than "Get the hell out" is doing nothing good for the company's reputation.

I agree with you, in just one day, they forgot "Professionalism".
