Hmm google likes to guess at what you want so really I don't get why it's invading your privacy. This is how google works......they collect popular search words and try to auto fill the search box to make things easier. But eh I have noticed that Chrome keeps a lot of info on my desktop that I need to wipe periodically.

    She knows how to party.

Uhm, obviously any search request in google goes directly to google.
This includes any input in the adress-bar of chrome.

(If you are nuts about that, there are scripts that automatically bomb google with totally randomized searches, so it's harder for them to get any info about you. However
    1) You will notice very very weird potentially disturbing adds everywhere in the google-space
    2) You might get banned from google; Oh yea this is real and possible. They don't want you to spam them with pointless shit.)

Why do you think Google is such a brilliant search engine?

    Link rating (PageRankTM) algorithms?

Those where there before they started using individual data for delivering personalized adds (and all that money ofc).
