Help me find a book

I know this is about the ten thousand post on this or something that relates to this, but I have to find a good book to read that is not going to completely bore the crap out of me. I am looking for something ether with good humor,fantasy,horror just something that will grab my attention i guess thanks. Here is a few examples what has grabbed my attention before John dies at the end [zombie humor], world war z [zombie humor], and the hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy. I know there all pretty much Humor books but i like serious books to thanks everyone.

Night Watch by Terry Pratchett.

Read The Game by Neil Strauss.
Its an attention grabber.
That and The Feed(for school) were only books with a story I've read and enjoyed.

Stars My Destination by Alfred Bester.

You've probably never heard of it, but it's also one of the most well written and most influential sci-fi books ever produced. Not to mention it's hella badass.
