Default Help me find a book

I know this is about the ten thousand post on this or something that relates to this, but I have to find a good book to read that is not going to completely bore the crap out of me. I am looking for something ether with good humor, fantasy, horror just something that will grab my attention i guess thanks. Here is a few examples what has grabbed my attention before John dies at the end [zombie humor], world war z [zombie humor], and the hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy. I know there all pretty much Humor books but i like serious books to thanks everyone.

Read The Game by Neil Strauss.
    Its an attention grabber.
That and The Feed(for school) were only books with a story I've read and enjoyed.

Stars My Destination by Alfred Bester.

You've probably never heard of it, but it's also one of the most well written and most influential sci-fi books ever produced. Not to mention it's hella badass.

if you can, try to get the illustrated versions of the Abarat books btw, Clive Barker apparently spent ages drawing the many, many paintings in those books, and they really add something to the experience imo :]

You Shall Know Our Velocity by Dave Eggers. It got absolutely atrocious reviews, but that book sure grabbed my attention fast. The whole idea of it just left me fascinated.

Starship Troopers is like the most boring book you could post, Rudeboy, lol. A good book, but a really boring one nonetheless.

That's odd, I had trouble putting the book down.

Anything by Michael Crichton is full of win

Same here, but at the same time I had trouble staying awake.

    An odd paradox...
