Default Russian SC2 to be P2P

Just read the news . Company that localises game has announced that it will be released in Russia in 2 versions , 20$ for DVD and 40$ for jewel , but the bad new is that it will require users monthly payment to play online. Once you bought the game it will have 12 month and 120 days for free.

Thats a huge let down for me since i was really thinking about getting it

    What's "jewel" mean over here?

Hmn, I thought that Blizzard said there will be non-paying and paying options for Battlenet. Strange.

i guess jewel means game + small extra . But the payment is a HUGE cons. Even if the game itself is cheaper it's not worth to P2P. Seems like they are experimenting on russians

if that's in american dollars then that is a good deal. basically you get it cheaper for almost 3 years. your stats will reset though(if they have them).

I highley doubt you will have to pay for SC2 to play online, I could be wrong but one of starcraft's good features is that its buy to play .

I don't see a problem with this, u get 12 months and 120 days for free? thats along time, plus by the end of 12 months d3 should be out around the corner if not out yet. Start complaining when they put d3 up for p2p.

I thought Blizzard is in charge of Battlenet, so they get to decide whether to charge people for multi-player
