    Default Whats with pvp in many f2p mmos?

    Why does pvp in a large chunk of f2p and 1 p2p mmo have this:

    Pot spam pvp-> Archlord, All the perfect world games currently released,
    twelve sky 2 and 1, knight online, rohan to a limited extent, and Aion and a few more, Fiesta Online.

    Can someone explain to me why that type of pvp is so wildy accepted?
    It just seems so terrible and pointless.

    The reason i bring this up is because i hit level 113 in twelve sky 2 and and me and a friend was like how much money have we used on pots and the answer was crazy.

    I guess he's referring to the emphasis of consumables in late-game PvP (4k DP Jellies, Anti-Shock Scrolls, Anti-Stun Scrolls, etc.)

    I guess just to make the fights last longer. And to stop people from being ganked so easily in world pvp. I remember in Silkroad before they changed how potions worked you could basically 2 shot someone. Fights ended pretty quick. Ranged characters ruled. But then they changed the cooldown on potions and fights started taking way longer. They even added auto potions. So whoever had the bigger bank won most of the time. Stunning became even more important to pvp after that.

    Really hate that style of pvp. But to fix it they would have to rebalance the entire game. Unless it is like DNF where the pvp is separate and everyone's stats are readjusted.

    even allowing anyone to use any consumables in PVP, much less crafting a PVP system in which they're pretty much heavily required, is really awful in my opinion. It just means that;

    A) you will waste loads of money you could've put to better use whenever you pvp;
    B) the richest will win, not the people who have the most skill or dedication to the game.

    I'll never forget a story told to me by a couple old friends of mine in some ragnarok online server in which a guy had spent real life money to buy loads of yggdrasil leaves or something and they kept punishing him over and over until he used up like hundreds of them and logged out, then proceeded to insult them horrendously and try to get them banned.. lmao.

    Well basically atleast 90% of F2P mmos out there could be given a nickname 'Yet another potiondrinker online'. When you have the whole PvE based on spamming potions to keep on going and killing stuff you kinda automatically get that in PvP also. P2Ps most of the time have longer cooldowns on potions and also have healer classes, which don't exist in all F2Ps or if they do, most of the time they're not played at all and suck.

    In general F2Ps don't have good PvP. They rarely have even good PvE.

    pot spam ruins pvp games, but dont act like there arent good games out there that dont impliment this nonsense. get urself into an action game or something not related to an "adventure" and you will gradually slip past pots.

    Your perfect answer - skip MMOs with PvP or play Facebook games.

    it takes skill to potspam in ragnarok. i'm serious lol, it's already part of the pvp system thr

    u even have to calculate meticulously how many different kinds of consumables and in which quantity to bring to pvp due to a weight system. ppl base their builds ard sparing some precious stat points for more weight, even.

    ro is about trying to potspam past DPS, and avoiding 1hko's, while trying to outskill/outplay opponents at the same time. put all these together with one of the fastest paced pvp system in MMOs, in a large scale GvG environment = win

    I'm fine with healing pots in pvp, if they have a decent cooldown.
