So, I got stuck writing a research paper on any event I choose from the Modern Age ( 1914 through 1946 ). However, I am completely at a loss for what to write about, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hmmm...
Something I always found interesting was the social and political upheaval that occurred in Germany from the end of World War I to the start of World War II. There's a lot to research on that.
WWI?
The begginning of fascism and nazism later?
The October revolution in Russia?

Reputation: 22Don't get me wrong, the thought of both WWI and WWII crossed my mind, yet, it just seems like such an obvious choice. I kind of wanted something a little more... unique.
The women's suffrage movement in early twentieth century America.

Or some obscure thing, like I quickly looked at the Wikipedia article for the 1920s, and there's some war I've never heard about (or at least can't remember):

Edit: Or something that would be cool would be to examine the use of cartoons as propaganda in wartime. For example, in my history class last week we watched this Donald Duck cartoon from WWII, and I thought it was hilarious.
