Actually you should just not use the hold key at all, you can use the stop key to cancel animations but holding is never a good idea just move around. In any case you can friend me, my IGN is Agitator5 ill teach you some stuff.

The best tip I can give you if we dont meet in game is to NEVER play EM.

Hold is fine imo. Those paranoid annoying guys who walk little rounds 24/7 must get tired soon.

edit: But by holding i dont mean standing there for 1 minute ofc .

I'm okay at HoN. IGN is Revenge (sub acct, but I'm playing him)

The best way to learn games is through the no-stats option. You can filter it while looking for a game.

Also check the HoN forums for basic guides on laning and play the in-game tutorial.

no need to learn that fancy stuff!

all you really need to learn is how to pwn!

tbh you need to know all the 70 heroes - all their skills - all the items and what they do.

it sounds like a challenge but ya! if you wanna get better you got to know those things!

em is only "unbalanced" for newcomers. If you play with pros...its not. I can pown with every hero in em if i use the right items. Many people think there only some builds for one char...thats not true. There is no build number. You can try everything and there are a lot of fun builds too.

for example...demented shaman (dazzle) can be shadow priest only (pkler)
never saw other people who use this build but i use this one very often.
You get shieldbreaker (desolator) fast and only skill poisen ulti and attributes...you will pown them so much. Befor they are strong you have heal skills too

It was already determined to be unbalanced on the forums ages ago, like I mean I sometimes play it for fun with mates, and we'd go 5 carries and still win so easy, and mind you they were 1700+ games, so the players weren't exactly that noob. Like you could go someone like Magebane, farm runed axe in 12 mins and then get your full item build by the 30 min mark, its ridiculously stupid.

Everyone can get the items fast if he or she knows the game and if you play with people who are that skilled its not unbalanced because it depends on the right tactic to pown heroes who are allready imba or what else..it depends on your own brain and your mates ^^

but in the end..i play more ar or ap too
EM IS unbalanced, since A LOT of heroes lose their shine, especially early game heroes like devourer and plague rider, while hard-carries such as madman etc. are tough right off the bat.

Well.. incase you dont know Gunz is actually one of my favorite games so I would say that is a good thing..

Anyway.. actually about space.. my spacebar does hold and stop at the same time when I press it..

BindImpulse game SPACE Cmd "Action OrderStop;Action OrderHold;"

And you dont have to move around that much actually early game if you know where every enemy is, what your laning enemy can do etc.. People who move around loads do it to raise APM or to try to raise there reflexes.. but I can last hit better with not moving much. I stay up hill mid and lure creeps to my hill so I am usually in fog of war for enemy while hes not for me.. I hardly ever play side lanes.. so yeah..

So you essentially wanna NOT listen to anything this guy is saying. NEVER play EM, try to avoid AP and AR they lead nowhere. You want to play banning draft or banning pick since they are the two modes where you can learn how to make up a team well. EM is the most ******ed mode ever, its only for people who dont want to improve and is utterly unbalanced.

PS: Never make DPS demented shaman, accursed, jeraziah, ******ra or other support heroes. Its a one way ticket to fail town.

I thought EM had the same game mechanics it just made everything easier to kill?

If so, then it's not necessarily a bad thing to go that route for a few games. It could arguably make the learning curve a little less steep. Like in a videogame. Going from normal to hard difficulty. Normal gives you the baby steps needed to start walking.

Tower do nearly 0 damage to you, even at level 1
2 gold per second instead of 1
Twice as much xp from creeps and heroes (you get level 6 at like 4min lmao)
Teaches people to buy really, really weird starter-items and builds overall.

Thats a pretty good thread about the differences..

In normal mode early game is the most important and easy mode players wont ever learn early game since its pretty much not there..

Denying exp, ganking, last hitting, and harassing are like the most important things in normal mode but are not at all important in easy mode since even with out creep killing you get lots of gold in easy mode.. but if you dont creep kill in normal mode you will be way behind in gold

so far the best advice i have gotten and would like to pass along is

    1) WATCH THE MINIMAP.... this is ur best friend..learn to use it...and use it well....click the map u can still move around

    2) stay behind your creeps = stay alive longer....

Alright IGN is Paladucky...some poophead took the name Paladuck already.

I played in a game and we got rocked in 15 mins but...a big part of it was because we had a teammate who left a few mins in.
