Default In need of an upgrade.

I'm looking to upgrade my computer for not too large of a cost.
    My current setup is:

    MOBO: MSI K8N SLI-F
    RAM: 4x 1GB DDR 400
    CPU: AMD Athlon x64 II
OS: Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate
GPU: EVGA Nvidia Geforce 8600 GTS
    PSU: Random 510 Watt

I'm not sure what else I should list for my specs, im not at home at the moment and I can't remember much more than that.

Any cheap recommendations that would improve my gaming performance?

Buying a new system will give you the best bang for the buck. Plus, new gaming computers can run as low as $400 now. It's not like $2000 per gaming PC, because of both, a recession and huge competition between AMD and Intel, ATI and Nvidia, prices have dropped to a lot.

No offense, but that's a really bad build. NEVER, EVER skimp the PSU. That PSU is utter trash. It's $22 for a reason, it's almost like a HP PSU, but with more watts... I'd buy this combo instead:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.365786
First house brand that actually makes good products(if you look at the right ones).
Also, just reuse the 8600GTS too. This chart(4670(couldn't find 4650) vs 8600GTS) shows that it's pretty close, or at least you won't notice a drop until Crysis level stuff.

You can also throw out the CPU and heatsink for this:

AMD stock heatsinks aren't as terrible as the old Intel ones. They actually cool pretty well. Plus, it's a good bang for the buck. Here's an article backing up my statement:

If you look at the charts, you can see that the Athlon II x4 is more or less 80% of a Phenom II x4 at the same speed. It saves ~$96 while still receiving 80% of the performance, not bad if I say so myself.
