To be honest, it seems to be females that are using these sites in such a way. Not so much guys.
I mean, I still think it's useless and pretentious to have a public diary, as if anyone cares. I just think it's far worse to use a tool with which you can communicate and articulate thoughts to the world...to post other peoples' shit.
Three of my good friends do it. One said; "Have you checked out my Tumblr lately?". I did, assuming there'd be something of note, and for the past three weeks it's just artsy pictures and quotes. Like...write a book, paint a picture.

That's because you followed people who post that kind of stuff, I follow people that post things I'm interested in. Like horror movie news, video games, and Clive Barker. Tumblr is what you make it.
