I was wondering if this game was good or repeititve. I heard there wasn't any towns, I hate games where its ONLY dungeons. Do guys think this is better thann assassins creed 2 or BF BC 2?
which one?

in the beginning its too linear but if your chapter 11 you will get monster hunter and you will need farm gill and cp exp for upcoming chapters
Reputation: 317Gloomba. That starts to change the further you get in disc 2 and in disc 3 it's almost gone (well... I got almost no cutscenes atm). Even though the game doesn't explain alot at first it's definitly a great game with a awesome battle system, paradigm shift was a good choice compared to the similar sphere grid thing. Gonna love maxing all that out and getting all ultimate weapons.
Reputation: 131I'll be the first to post on the side of "Its pretty damn bland." By no extent do I find the game bad at all, it's just...not...good.
The characters are all angst-ridden "Wah wah wah" archetypes up until around chapter 9 or 10 at the latest, at which point they all start moving on with their relative lives. The only character I AT ALL sympathize with thus far is Sazh, due to events at the end of chapter 8(Which is an AMAZING cutscene, by the way.). Also, he has the Frocobo.
If you're looking for a non-linear game, go play one of the Fallout games. Being a JRPG, this game is pretty linear(Even by JRPG standards!), but it's never really a problem.
The battle system I found fairly unpolished. It's a good system, and nice that they tried something different, but you can break most fights with a Synergist, Ravager, and Commando(Medic may be used instead of Synergist if healing is needed.). The fact that character placement is important when my tank seems to do their best to WALK NEXT TO MY OTHER CHARACTERS is incredibly annoying. I want my goddamn Gambits back.
That being said, the game is amazingly well acted, looks good, and is fun if you can get into it.
Now to answer your original question, I'll give you my order.
Bad Company 2 > Final Fantasy XIII > Assassin's Creed 2
