hellgate london failed, (or as i like to see it, they didnt even tried to give it a chance and patch it properly) mythos was a succes but to bad they didnt had any payment plans on that game soo.. guess both got shut down and beeing sold to some shady company who seems to have abandoned us since some month (lets hope temporarily only).

anyway last i read for HGL is
Hanbitsoft has acquired the US/EU territory rights and will be re-releasing back to the US/EU territories with its sequel Hellgate London: Resurrection.
with some luck we can see it back somewere this year but wouldnt count on it :/
edit: just seen some post from 18january where they said they having succes on this game in korea so they gonna try relaunch it next year for us/eu. no idea if its true though

I could be wrong, but I think the plan was to re-release it on some free2play plan (probably cash shop). I may just be completely making that up though lol, it's just what I remember for some reason.

yea idk the game was pretty enjoyable though me and a few friends played it for like 4 months when it was released then I went back to it a year or so later. It wasn't worth a subscription though I payed for the sub benefits for a month and said **** that. I think that's what killed it tbh the ridiculous optimization and the lack to fix important bugs. At the time my computer was like top of line I had no problems but if your computer was a year old it was like "LOL FUK YOU ***** YOU CANT PLAY THIS WITH GOOD FRAME RATES". Hope it comes back some how rather just have it b2p than f2p with cash shop.

Hanbitsoft released the expansion for HGL just last month, I'm sure we will be seeing HGL revived through their new English portal, T3Fun in the future.

I believe T3Fun has a mythos version coming out AND an english Hellgate, except it will have london and a new place, Hellgate:Tokyo, yes, tokyo.

Hellgate:ressurection, basically it's a giant korean grinder now, they removed the level cap, made a lot of items weaker I believe, changed a lot, honestly it will probably be F2P with a cash shop, which I believe it is now in korea or something. I can see it actually surviving now once it goes global, niche countries can support it, plus the ingenuity of korean publishers will keep it going. Unlike horrible west coast american studios, fagship studios.

Hellgate: Resurrection is mainly just an important update which fixed many bugs and added a little content.

Hellgate: Tokyo is the new high level area players get to explore after completing London. Do note that the very first little details of Tokyo is actually done by Flagship Studios before they sunk.

And yes, it will just be like any F2P with cash shop.
