05/08/10) BOHEMIA - Police say two teenagers have been charged with fifth-degree conspiracy for planning an attack at Connetquot High School.
Police list former student Christopher Franko, 17, as one of the suspects. Cops say he met the second suspect, Dana Saltzman, 16, while attending Eastern Suffolk BOCES Bellport Academic Center.
In 2007, Franko was also arrested and pleaded guilty for planning an attack against the high school.
Authorities say a social worker overheard the teens plotting to buy shotguns and kill students, faculty and staff June 10. Suffolk police say they also discovered text messages between the two detailing the plot.
Police also confiscated Saltzman's computer that allegedly revealed research about explosives and bomb making.
Saltzman was released after her arraignment. Franko is being held in jail until his next court date on June 8.
