Default Anyone know where Darkness and Light went?

    Hey guys,

I just remembered a game I used to play called Darkness and Light. This was possibly one of the best Strategy RPGs I have ever played alongside warcraft 3. I remember that it was hosted by GamenGame and then one day it just closed down. Thinking about it I really want to play it now but i cant seem to find the US or Global version . Can anyone tell me where I can play this game please?

Google only revealed an old sea version, the site no longer running.

    Best of luck to you!

Well Game&Game is just a temporary host until a developer finds a publisher or decides to publish a game on their own so it 'suddenly closing down' wasn't anything new.

However, there actually was an English site up at one point (I'm not sure if it was NA or Global) and the game was renamed to Battle of Shadows. Unfortunately, nothing really ever happened aside from the rename; it was supposed to go into closed (open?) beta, but the deadline passed and there were no updates for weeks/months and then the only update we got was the typical canned 'we're having issues but we're working hard on it' message. After even more time passed with no notices at all the site because so deteriorated that people began posting anime porn on the forums just to see if the mods were even bothering...not a single topic got locked or removed (and there were a ton) for I believe several months. After that, the site simply shut down and the SEA version vanished soon after because the company apparently went bankrupt.

Sorry that the dates weren't very specific, but it was quite a while ago so I don't remember much about how long it actually lasted for as an eternal 'coming soon!' website.

It's a shame that such a thing happened to the game because I liked it a lot even though I normally dislike DOTA-style games, but I suppose that's what happens when developers/publishers don't make any real effort to connect with their existing community nor hype their games to bring in more people.
