    Most people can agree on what they hate(this band for example) and all tend to disagree on what should be loved. Hate has a greater power to unify.

    You don't see an entire country mobilize because they love something, you do see them mobilize and unify when they want to go to war and kill people. People that normally would not agree with each other can agree on who they want to go to war with.
