    Default Opening of new servers??

I would like to ask you guys a question: if a game opens a new server is this important news to you, or not important at all? Basically it's always good news that they are creating new space, but it's also part of the regular development for most games.

    So: important or wha'eva?!

Ofcourse, expanding the ammount of playerbase you can have by opening a new server.
Show's that they have succeseded in something to catch that many player's eyes.

To me, a new server opening means a new start, (since there is nothing, it has to be built up by the new player's / or old players who wants to start new on a new server)
And that feeling, is the best feeling, knowing that no-one has nothing and everyone is equal.
I'd say it is important to make new servers.

So, for a relatively new game which has fewer servers it would still be interesting news to post?

CCR: Open new servers. Players try to reach the level cap ASAP by using cash shop items. Players reach level cap > Open new server and start all over again.

    +1 Money making method.

i think its worth it to post, new servers will usually give me a pretty good reason to give a game a fair shot.

It's important to me if it's a game I was wanting to play but didn't want to be too far behind everyone.

if you really have the time to play, you will catch up in no time since there is bound to be a level cap. a mature server will also have more items for sale.

that's the one reason i love new servers, no ones level cap its still a race to get there, and building up a economy instead it already being there and in full force.

meh, I have seen many players saying they like to start a game if there's a new server since they can level up and become one of the top tiers, most just quit halfway, or even earlier.

i only approve of adding more servers if either the game is too populated *COUGH* Silkroad! *COUGH* or when they add local servers for certain regions (PWE did for EU users)

It depends on the game. CCR opens new servers only to merge it with other servers a few months after. Then they open yet another new server a few months after that. All this just because they know people will rush to get high lvl / epic gear and buy cash shop items.

New servers are very important imo, I will only try an MMO if I know a fresh server has just started. As others have said I don't enjoy jumping into a world where the max level has already been reached and the economy is well under way.

I generally do not play a game to race to the cap. My reason for not wanting to be behind is so that I can find groups to do quest. It is really frustrating to me to play a game and not be able to party with anyone and miss out on content because you can't do it alone.

The problem with Silkroad is the bots. The players are not populating it that much.

    SEA is slow :3

There are quite some games which get new servers after the OB (Maple, Eudemons etc..)

I don't really care to be honest it's not really news.
However closing or merging of servers is.
