Well yes we all have different experiences but from what I have seen the people who like Macs better usually don't know much about computers.
That is fine for them but not for people who like to modify their OS.
I have had a lot of trouble with Macs mainly because I wanted to do something and I found out that the option was not there. And Apple will clean out your wallet by making you buy specific attachments that are owned by them only.
I like being able to customize windows 7 so I can run it on old hardware and have it only use around 286 mbs of RAM.
I like modifying my drivers to get the best out of my old games.
Most of the problems people have with Windows are from them messing with stuff they have no clue about and even then they can do a quick google search to fix it.
Lets be honest here.
The difference between a mac and pc is the OS.
And I see no reason to pay hundreds or even up to twice the price for a locked down OS.
I could lock down the Windows OS to have less problems too but I like being able to modify things.

Ever think, there must be a reason that apple can give away free ipod touches with macbook purchases? It's because they're selling $800 worth of parts for $1300.
