    U.S. National Debt Clock

Still think he is a good president?

Bush has added more to the deficit then all of the presidents before him COMBINED.

[edit] for those who don't know the debt was just over 3 trillion when bush entered office, and you can see what its at now.

Congress spends it. The President submits a budget, congress changes it, money is spent. it is NOT Bush's fault.

BTW the debt was higher in the past than now, counting inflation.

aaah the good ole debt debate. People are trying to scare your generation with the debt. Tell me something. Why are you concerned about the debt? Exactly how does the debt affect your daily lives??

Most of you Bush haters are all for more government spending, aren't you? More social programs, more spending on welfare and the failing social security, etc. Less spending on Defense (we saw how defense cuts really helped us out on 9/11 didn't we?). There's where your taxes go.

Anyway the money we spend doesn't exist. The debt is a number, and it means nothing. OH yeah--and we keep giving money to other countries for foreign aid (another popular liberal spending project). How about we stop bailing out 3rd world countries with the bleeding heart programs and make them pay back what we've lent them? We should be spending it on our own country. And when will people stop demanding the government pay for everything for us when we can get off our arses and work for ourselves?

Sorry..touchy subject. This topic brings out the incredibly faulty logic of the hypocritical bleeding heart tree hugging liberals. makes me ill.

whew...it's my bedtime, me thinks lmao

Having spent time in 3rd world countries myself in the army, I can tell you many people have a warped view on what a 3rd world country is. They don't live in huts, they have elctricity and cars just like us. they just don't have government, or law and order. Some of them prefer it that way, and try very hard to keep it that way.

The problem with americans is that we just sit her in our little box ( america ) and think the rest of the world works like we do. What our problem is is that we think our way is the "right" way or the "correct" way. How do we know what we are doing is the right way? because our government tells us it is? Of course they are gonna tell us that, are they gonna tell us other wise.

There is other ways of life, and other was of living it other then ours. Thats why people hate america. Thats why terrorism targets us. Talk to a terrorist, they don't hate americans. They hate america.

To the post denying my claims that bush has added more tot he deficit then all the prsidents combined, I ask that yous how evidence because i'm right. This is'nt a situation where I have a shred of doubt that I could be wrong, otherwise I would not be posting this. What I said is true.

I'm not trying to scare anyone. I don't care honestly, i'm moving to canada after my time with the army is over. But look at it this way. That is the debt of america. We owe that money. The people of america. Its a debt that honestly, we will never repay. What happens when our government gets to currupt. When we out spend ourselves. When people are sick and tired of being lied to. When believing in god is'nt enough to keep people happy?

America will not stand the test of time. When we fall our investors will come looking for thier money. I'm not going to be around when that happens.

No one deny's our government lies to us. They just accept it as part of our government, "it happens in politics". Well thats not good enough for me. These people supposedly represent me. I'm not a liar or a coward. I don't "scratch people's backs" to get things done, and I don't want to be represented by the like.

It may not happen in my lifetime, but america will fall, we can't borrow money and lie to our own people forever.

You know a third of all american foreign aid goes to Isreal? To buy weapons to send countries like palestine back to the 3rd world, and by thirld world i dont even mean mud huts, i mean the millions of people without any home at all. Refusing to give money to 3rd world countries is one thing, and sometimes is completely understandable, but adding countries to the list is something completely different.

Edit: and as to what Gauge was saying, i spent summer in Kyrgyzstan which is a extremely poor country with a highly unstable government (revolution last year led to change in government). In kyrgyzstan the U.S. military has an Airbase for dropping troops in Afghanistan. The U.S pays the Kyrgyz government a good sum of money for the use of this airbase also the support crew do volunteer work in their days off. This is all very well but the Kyrgyz government are still thinking of abolishing the airbase, and i believe this is partly due to what we call "American Cultural Imperialism" whereby the Kyrgyz culture is really interesting, they are big on their traditional food and they dont want to lose it to the Pizza huts and Mcdonalds which is all they know of American culture (they have pizza Huts at the airbase to stop the military getting homesick) now this is nothing against American "culture" its just american culture is american, we dont want it anywhere else we have are own culture.

Well, the base number may be higher, but you need to compare that to a few things.

For example, take two countrys. Country 1 pulls in $100 per year in taxes, and country 2 pulls in $10000 a year in taxes.
Now, the world Aid funding from country 1 is $50, and the funding from country 2 is $500.
Country 2 is giving a ton more money then country 1, but it's also making a whole ton more.
Country 1 gives 50% of it's total, while country 2 gives only 5%
If Country 1 gave the very same percentage, it would be giving only $5, and if country 2 gave the same percentage as country 1, it would be giving $5000.

    You understand what I'm saying?
The base numbers don't always tell the truth. You need to get them into a form that is equal amoung all of the countrys.
In the case above, a percentage of the total money

Nah, I understood, my dad mocked me for not listening to him well enough.

The only base number higher then US is India. And India has a lower GDP.

I didnt catch the second part.

Selective listening at its finest eh?
