    Default Limewire to shut down!

Well, this sucks? Looks like the music industry is figthing back on illegal music downloads.

Limewire will stay alive for another two weeks after the Judge Kimba Wood gave Lime Wire lawyers two weeks to respond to a motion filed Friday by the music industry to close it down.

    LimeWire is actually still around?

Why would anyone even actually use LW to get music?
It was cool to use it for the new time, when we were all new to pirating.. but now, gah, its shit.

Actually the kids in my school that don't know shit about PC's and Internet use it, and they brag like shit about it.

I still use Limewire still. Don't have any viruses... I'm kinda sad though now. But someone told me to use Frostwire now.

I don't get viruses either. If you get a virus on limewire you're kind of an idiot. Don't download 4 minute songs that are 54kb.

you guys really still use this? it's so slow o_O
More often than not, it would take something ridiculous like 15 minutes to download one song. In that time, using the methods I use now, I could download like fifteen entire albums.

Not to mention, with my way, there's way less risk of getting viruses and spyware.

Using limewire was so much fun though. You'd be like, hey I want to watch a movie and 8 hours later you could open it and see if it was the movie you wanted or porn. That's a win-win to me.

[album/song name here] + mediafire in google.

MEDIAFIRE HAS EVERYTHING, or I just blogspot or join private forums and get stuff off of Megaupload.

Limewire was kinda good if you used it when you were twelve, then figured out you could download Limewire Pro through Limewire and get faster stuff. Then i got a fatal error and never used it again.

In a way, the day Limewire died was the last day of my childhood. Everyone remembered their first visit to her. Standing on the corner, cigarette in hand, she had worked there as long as anyone could remember. As much a fixture of the neighborhood as the mailbox or the streetlamps, she was always a source of raspy advice. She could answer any problem, grinding out her reply around the pall-mall clenched in her teeth.

My first time with Limewire was years ago. My time had come and I was quaking with nervousness. She turned to me, her hair still its natural brown then, looking so damn young and beautiful you couldn't believe it. "First time, sweety?" Her voice not yet hoarse, she wore her signature smile on silver lips.

Everyone knew her eventually, boy or girl, it didn't matter, she took on all comers. We all knew and loved her. It didn't matter that she didn't have the spark in her eyes of the younger girls, or the carnal knowledge of the elites; When the chips were down, she could make you see fireworks like no one else.

Eh, my university blocks all p2p programs like a bunch of bastards. Honestly, I don't really mind, youtube downloaders are ridiculously useful. Shame to see Limewire go, but I haven't really needed it for some time. Now that I'm about to go home for the summer, it doesn't matter anyway, there's always Frostwire, and Kazaa, and Bittorent, and whatever.
