    Default Mass Effect Day

    Hurrah!

No, but in all seriousness, I have never even played a Mass Effect game before. I was considering getting both one and two. Total of about $30.00, and from what I have heard about these games, it sounds like an amazing deal. So is it worth it? Should I get one or just two? One is only five bucks. Also, the deluxe edition of number two comes with regenerating armor and the Incisor Rifle. Are there better weapons available? Or is it possible to get these without the deluxe edition. I really don't want a comic, the soundtrack, an artbook, and a documentary video.

It's not possible to get those items without the Deluxe Edition, but they're not worth it, either.

And anyway, Mass Effect 1 and 2 are both the best Sci-Fi RPGs I've ever played. They seamlessly combine really good shooter action, a compelling storyline and interesting characters and conversation. It's got something for everyone.

    For $30? Get both!

Mass Effect is an experience you shouldn't miss.

I ripped my eyes out after watching that cheesy ME2 trailer. The first part was ok. Didn't play second because my comp couldn't handle it possibly. Not interested in it anyway. Not my type of game. So I am slightly disappointed in sales today.

I just bought Mass Effect. Hoping to try it out soon, I'll probably play after the exams.

    I also bought Mirror's Edge.

    Permssion to GTFO.

Mass Effect 1 is a must (In my opinion) before the second one, you miss out on a shit ton and look stupid not knowing what the "Reapers" are/is and who the Geth are.

Mass Effect 2 was just really wow... can't describe it

Ok not bad as in horrid but just really not really thought out.

Ok I like it in Mass Effect 2, where you actually need to used some sort of healing assortments to actually heal your wounds. Where in Mass effect 2 all you have to do is hide and shoot. Really its all you have to do. You got wounded?
Just hide, regen, shoot... Rinse and repeat..
There is no difficulty and repeating the same thing over and over again gets quite tiring. I don't know but I think I like Mass Effect 1 better but Mass effect 2 has better character customization and crap.

Mass Effect 2 kinda gotten rid of the linear storyline progression in Mass effect 1. They actually give you choice to do whatever mission you want up to the final mission.

Its quite fascinating. Though its quite strange, but I like linear storyline progression.. Maybe I played too many Jrpgs.

Deus Ex, brilliant as it was, suffered from terrible AI and unbalanced gameplay. It's great, I recommend it to everyone, possibly more fun than Mass Effect (depends on what you like,) but when it comes to everything but freedom Mass Effect wins out. I like them both equally, TBH.

Play on Insanity. It's difficult, but it's not frustrating. You really have to use your brain and different strategies for the various encounters.

If you don't get both ME1 and 2 during this sale, you can't call yourself an RPG fan. :P
