Best fps to date?

Because it's not actually that good, PC gamers just **** over anything that Valve creates.

And console gamers **** over Halo and Call of Duty.

The majority of what people mentioned have been Multiplayer FPS's not Singleplayer seeing as this is a MMO site.
Ontopic: Don't spend your time with F2P fps's Don't be cheap and invest some money on some CoD, BF, TF2, etc.

Seriously, how has this not been mentioned? It's free and far superior to nearly every FPS out there.

I agree, Quake is the best free fps currently (and one of the best/hardest fps in my eyes). It's the best feeling landing air shots and consecutive rails.

Quake Live. You'll never improve your aim as much with any other game. Airshotting people is easier than in TF2 though.

Out of all the free FPS games I've played Quake Live is by far the best.

So, yea Quake Live ftw.

You'll probably get your arse kicked if you've never played the game before but keep on practicing and you'll be playing like a beast!
