Yeah defiantly is fun, been playing for about a month so far. Who knows maybe I'll run into the Onrpg village on one of my many long and boring mine searches.

So I've been downloading for about 15 minutes now, it has been slowly climbing in remaining time (now at 32 minutes 49 seconds) every 30 seconds it updates the time and raises it, and the green part won't budge an inch.

Well, so far I've gotten a house and a farmland with flax in it (thanks Cingal <3) done. Currently the main problem is the lack of food but I'm guessing that'll be solved in a few days.

Best way to solve that is set some people out hunting rabbits, some gathering from the trees and after a while as the farm builds up, you should be able to live off the land.
