This game sounds amazing. I was ready to start it up, but it seems we are having location issues, and I don't feel like playing an empty game. ;/ Any idea where you gents are spread out at?

I'm just a newb stopping by to mark my progress, did anyone else use their hearth fire as an entrance, or was it just me? =/

Sorry for being a newb and asking more questions Dx, but, doesn't a hearth fire keep out intruders just as well as any gate would or am I missing something here? xD
Yeah It can keep out a complete newbie to the game, but anyone with any decent amount of strength could easily destroy it. Along with any other fence or wall.
I'd also suggest you upgrade to palisades as soon as you can. Just remember to build around the entire area you plan to use in the future. (Takes a crap load of strength to destroy one of those suckers for any normal player.)
hard to play alone... not to mention boring...
Reputation: 15Hey Orph did you find any high Q fiber?
No. The server crashed. ;_;
Btw, if all you need is high quality string you should raise your Survival skill and hunt for herbs.
Farming will make it so I randomly get -5/+5 quality stuff from it. So from a q10 hemp I could get a q5 or a q15 fiber. It also depends on the seed's quality...
Darn it! The other day I found an abandoned log cabin that had a cupboard with a LOT of q20+ string, but no one needed it. ;_;
You know it's a lot easier to get high Q items(as far as farmable items go) by well farming.. than looking for any strings in the wilderness. Besides, the higher your farming the higher your harvested seeds, the higher your crop etc...
Reputation: 15Humm, server's been down for around 14 hours already ;o
Reputation: 10Hahaha, I'm Reiia in game. Guy who settle further inland than you guys on the river. Server crashed when i just finished laying the stone foundations for my palisades...(its a nightmare doing it by myself...) Hope you guys on the water side plan to build and fortify with palisades soon. It seems like grievers and murders tends to congregate on any settlements close to the river's edge. On another note... i found a cave close to my place while running away from a murdering bear... i hope it has clay =D
Once i tame myself a bull, i will be able to transport more stuff inland to you guys and take some river supplies back by wagon. Should be interesting... but first thing first... finish building my wall!
Also when in doubt and see a guy with a pumpkin hat... Run :O
D'jevu?
I think i saw this same post on the fourms @ H&H lol
Probably. Depends on how soon I can get online. IIRC the eggs were just about to hatch while we were exploring.
Also, about this cave situation: I read that all caves share the same map, so if you are prospecting in a cave, and it seems like you found a mine, it could actually be in another cave, on the other side of the grid...Hope this isn't the case.
That would be great! I'm gonna wait a few more hours before I head out, so I'm not sure if I will be able to be there.
Anyway, I have two herbalists tables with eggs, in my house I have two cupboards with enough leaves for all of 'em.
Problem is I'm not sure your alt has permission to enter the claimed area.![]()
