This'll probably be a n00b question to some of you, but how can I take the music from my iPod and put it on a new computer without having to reset everything?

You can't. iPods are not designed that way. In order to do so you will have to find a special piece of software that will allow you to take the songs off of it.

Be aware though, sometimes these programs will mess with your iPod, and the ID3 tags of the songs you take off can get really screwed or just erased altogether.
