I was a FF fan until i played FF13.
Biggest fail boat ever made, even tho it looks nice.
FF with chapters is just wrong.

Reputation: 131Probably one of the worse games in the series. The story is poorly told within a world where backstory was an afterthought(Seriously, you'll find yourself checking the in-game encyclopedia just to understand the cutscenes.), generally unlikable characters, luck-based boss fights(The Eidolons), and the repeated mashing of the "confirm" button.
Honestly, if you want a solid JRPG go grab yourself a copy of Lost Odyssey, provided you have a 360. Or better yet, Resonance of Fate(Meh story, amazing combat.) which is on the 360 and PS3.
I thought it was very fun. The action is a lot faster paced than previous titles and you may actually die in this game. Also enjoyed the character interactions and this game has some of my favorite characters in the series.
On the other hand, if you're really worried, rent first. Stuff like Gamefly would definitely help you choose.
It's the first FF I've had to force myself to keep playing.
Not having any fun with it whatsoever.
I enjoyed it. Quite different from FFVII though, just a fair warning.
FFXIII is extremely linear... Story-based, to be honest. The battle system is good, compared to a lot of RPG's, but compared to previous Final Fantasy installments, it's sub-par.
It's worth a playthrough.
Reputation: 47In the world there was this Super Spiritual Being that shat out several smaller super spiritual beings to do stuff like dig holes, make castles, and screw around with humans. The humans make this little high-tech town called "Doucheville" that is run by a super spiritual being named, "Sir Douche." Sir Douche just wants to have the Super Spiritual Being that shat him out to come back to the planet and he figures that the best way to do that is to kill a bunch of humans. The best way to do this is to kill Ugly *** Fetus, a super spiritual being, that gives energy to Doucheville. If Ugly *** Fetus is dead, then everyone in Doucheville will die and Super Spiritual Dude will come back. But Super Spiritual Dude made it impossible for the super spiritual beings kill each other. So Sir Douche sets up a bunch of intricate plans to have a bunch of humans kill Ugly *** Fetus and therefore kill everyone in the town. At the end of the game, it turns out that Ugly *** Fetus wants to die, but not really. So you end up fighting it and it fuses with Sir Douche to form Transvestite Man. Transvestite Man attempts to turn your party members into Nuclear Missile so that it will kill everyone in the world and cause Super Spiritual Being to come back. But they kill Transvestite Man and the game ends with everyone in a jungle filled with Long Gui, a 16 million HP end-boss. The End.
