Is There Any Game Similar to Face of Mankind?

A couple months ago people found Face of Mankind, a true sci-fi MMOFPS. We weren't limited to a leveling system like typical RPG genres. It was based on teamwork and getting through the ranks in your faction. The game at the moment seemed to fall out of fashion, but are there any MMOs with a similar concept and still going strong? (MMOFPS, sci-fi, and not room based)

yea there guilds. i like it because it Free to play online. and there no cash shop. it like guild wars. only need to pay for expansion update

yea sandstorm update will only free after 6 month you have to buy other expansion if you want new weapons and armor, etc. but it all free online play just like guild wars

Short answer : No.

Long answer : There are many games that are "MMORPG + Sci-Fi + Not room based" but if you mean the same style as FoM (completely player-driven persistant combat/economy based mmo) then no there really isn't. The closest might be a game like darkfall but levels make a huge difference in that game as well as others like asheron's call/ultima online.

You may want to take a look at dawntide though, it's in beta but it looks promising. Same with Xyson (Mortal online as well if your in the EU). Those are fully open world unlike FoM but it's the same persistant/full PvP combat type mmo, you also build cities and it's a lot more interactive in that to get resources you have to actually go get the resources instead of going to certain colonies and using mining/production terminals...not that either one is a bad thing.

Global agenda is somewhat very close however it's not quite the same and the game is not balanced as far as agencies/alliances (then again neither was FoM lol) it is a lot more fair in that it's 10vs10 (more soon) and there is a LOT of variety in what you can do in the game with your character. It's like if you mixed FoM with TF2, so check it out if that interests you.
