    Default Working out

    Im 14,
    not fit,


    5'10 (100lb)

    and ive been starting to workout

    im an ectomorph too which means harder muscle gain,

    sometimes i feel like i need to work out, since im extremely skinny,
    lifes pretty shit sometimes
    and those times im like f@ck everything,

    so whats the motivation that keeps one to workout everyday?

    and for some reason, i almost throw up every time i work out.

    Damn dude, your a stick.
    My motivation was mainly not being pure bones and all that shit. To atleast have something decent when you go to the beach or pool. Main reason were girls though.....

    One easy way is to go to the gym with friends. I was weight training with friends before I went to the gym regularly now. It's kinda weird at the beginning, I guess you can just picture yourself looking a bit more built, but you have to stay dedicated. Ronin is right about the goals, that will give you some confidence. A meal plan will definitely help you out, but don't restrict yourself to just one thing, some people just eat meat, or just vegetables when they're trying to get muscle when you need to eat a variety of stuff.

    I was like you at your age, I couldn't gain weight, I could eat stuff with a hell load of calories, no physical activity all day, everyday. I would often be eating at night, fast food for dinner everyday, and barely gain weight or no weight at all. At the end of sophmore year, all I did was gain about 16 pounds, I weighed 139, but could bench 209 pounds and that was from working out 9 months.

    Just think of it as relieving stress, have a protein bar before and after, make sure it has no abnormal growth hormones. Eat healthier and treat yourself to unhealthy crap not as much as you usually do. As you continue working out regularly you'll notice your appetite will be bigger. If you're gonna do the protein stuff, again, make sure theres no growth hormones or stuff that's too synthetic. You wont have a puffed up body, but you'll be in better shape and you will be kind of toned. And think of it like this, when you feel "Swoll" after every work-out, it means it's working and you're doing something right. Lifting weights only affects your growth (if you're stil lgrowing) if it's a hardcore thing. Just know your limit.

    Edit: My motivation was, related to how at my school, your worth kinda involved how much you could bench. My goal was to be stronger than a lot of the football players. Happy to say, I achieved that goal.

    You can just do things you like

    Sign up for Karate if you want,it is a fun sport and you get a good workout

    play sports

    it is fun and you do a warmup which gets you sweating and then do a cooldown,some running and push ups

    but that is just me

    Learn to carry your bodyweight before hitting the gym.

    There's no reason to be skinny unless you don't live in America.

    My motivation comes from watching 300 everyday.

    5'9 130 pounds I was 125 after a month i gained 5 pounds and ****ing running/bike riding isnt working out as much as it is cardio. I recommend just straight up gym->5 meals a day->protein [whey or soy] and you'll be fine. Just know its a long trip.

    You're 5'10" and 100 pounds? Is that even possible..
    Like legit though, I have friends who are like 5'8" and younger, and they are stick figures and they still weigh like 120, 130.
    My girlfriend is like 5'3" and weighs 100 pounds, and she's incredibly skinny because she eats very little.

    If you're legit 5'10" and 100 pounds.. something is wrong. I would try and get up to 120 before even bothering to attempt to gain weight.

    Whenever I workout, I always like to gain weight first. Then I attempt to transfer weight loss into muscle gain, so if I lost like 5lbs from cardio I would hope to gain at least 2lbs of muscle.

    Personally, I feel like a million bucks after a solid workout.

    Your motivation should be you, your going to feel good, your a little healthier
    every time, and after long periods you get that definition ( or mass ) depending on what your doing. And yes as everyone said on the plus side, girls love muscles.
