Well, I felt like it was time to do in a update and the old post was very outdated. This won't be a HUGE showcase but I'll see what I can do.

First of all, most of the team doesn't seem interested. I don't feel as though that I should have to remind everyone when to "Check In" to the website, PM everyone to remind them about meetings etc. So, if anyone on the previous team is still interested in this shoot me a PM. Until then, I'm continuing with or without help. Now onto the fun stuff. I'll break this into What's currently possible, what WILL be possible and what I'm working on TO be possible...so here we go.

Note: I have NO sprite creators so for now I will be using ones I find around the net. I know that's not original but I really have no other choice. However, once I get a sprite creator I can easily change everything with a simple Patch and Update which will not effect the end users.

What's currently possible

Since this IS a sandbox type MMO there will not be many quests. Instead, there will be main story line "Adventures" (New name for it will come in time). These Adventures WILL have cutscenes and movies much like most of the P2P MMO's.

Bounty System: Players that are more of the workers then the fighters will be able to place bounty's on people they expect (or think) is taking there resources, breaking into there homes etc. (More on "Jobs" will be explained once I type it out onto the comp)

The negotiation can either take place with the bounty system or without. Without would mean that the two players discussed this themselves and there is no Public Knowledge of it. However, a Player can also publicly put a bounty on another players head. This will allow other "Good" players to seek out this person and attempt to kill him.

As of right now I'm trying to make it so that if the Bounty is Public then you will recieve your gold right away. This also means that once the player publicly posts the bounty the gold will be taken out of the players inventory right away, you can of course cancel the bounty and get your gold back.

Maps: I'm working out a way to make the maps seem very large. With the 3D game it's very easy but with the 2.5D version it's much harder. I do have a few ideas though, so much that this isn't my highest priority.


PvP: Again, this will be completely open. We have discussed in early meetings about making a Safe Zone and having restrictions on what you can do there. Any thoughts on this?

Earning Gold, Silver or whatever we decide to call it

There will be numerous ways to earn money depending on what you decide to do in the gameworld. If your a blacksmith, you can create armors and weapons for the "Fighter" players. If your a builder you can help Government Officials (The players that spend there time running Towns and such) to build reinforcement towers, Walls etc.


What I'm Working on

Brutes/Destroyers

I'm working on a way for players to actually Destroy these walls so another town or army can invade these towns. As of right now you must leave one area open to get out and back in. At the beginning I believe players will have to also hire other players to guard there towns. If this is the case I will make sure I add in some type of reward system that will also come out of the players (that hired the guards) pockets.

Another option, since of course players will have to leave the town to gather resources or foreign resources, would be to add a "Key" system. When a player lives in a town they would be given a "Key" to the "Gate" that would allow them to unlock it and gain access. Another player, from another town, could be hired to wait (assasin job ftw?) and when available kill the player and obtain the key. As of right now I can already see how many problems this would cause as there would be many keys for one town. I'll continue to think upon this and see what I can come up with.

Travel: Travel options are also being worked on. Of course players will have to create a boat to travel across the sea. Maybe in a expansion or update we could add in more travel options as the players and world get's more advanced.
